One-liners from last weekend's college football games
LSU looks unstoppable. They dominated Virginia Tech (ranked #9) winning 48 to 7.
West Virginia QB Pat White is living up to expectations plus some. Saturday he completed 72% of his passes (2 passing touchdowns), and he also ran for 124 yards (and 1 touchdown).
Louisville (ranked #8) let Middle Tennessee (ranked no where near the top 25) score 42 points. Louisville won the game, but you have to wonder about that defense.
South Carolina beat Georgia (ranked #12). In a very close game, South Carolina’s defense made the difference (keeping Georgia from scoring a touchdown).
Things are not looking good for Notre Dame (they have rushed for –8 yards so far this year). They lost again this week ( Penn State 31 Notre Dame 10).
In a game for those who love pulling for the underdog, Auburn (ranked #17) lost to South Florida in overtime.
Hawaii (ranked #20) won by 1 point in overtime against Louisiana Tech. Hawaii QB Colt Brennan passed for 548 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Five Georgia Tech players rushed for touchdowns against Samford leading Georgia Tech (ranked #21) to a win 69 to 14.
Michigan (who started off the year ranked #5) lost again this week in a game in which they were completely dominated by Oregon (final score 39 to 7).
