What I would like to see is a comprehensive statistical analysis relating all on-field performances tied to the player's contract broken down in regular season and playoffs. And then let's see where A-Hole ranks.

Probably not very high.

or right along the same path as Willie Mays, Barry Bonds and Mickey Mantle?

You guys are a bit media-heavy/logic-light in your assumptions. Look, don't listen and you'll see what everyone else is telling you.

Stars face tougher pitching (and less opportunities to be stars) in the playoffs. That's why scrubs who can't hit and guys who don't get paid attention to make for postseason heroes so often (Tom Lawless, Jim Leyritz, Mickey Hatcher, Adam Kennedy, Francisco Cabrera, Gene Larkin, Bill Mazeroski, Kirk Gibson - THESE are the guys that put up postseason numbers despite regular season blahness - WHERE'S their parade?)

The blog where I posted from spaced the articles differently. If I had known they would have taken up so little space would have posted them together. At blogger.com they look like they would be too long for ArmchairGM but the three lines in original form turned out to be one line at ArmchairGM.

Whoever fixed the stats did a great job...this is the way I had it set up. It is much easier to read this way.

Thanks for providing these stats as well, Niteowl. These are some stats that many baseball fans overlook.
