Actor, comedian, and noted golf enthusiast Bill Murray was pulled over by Swedish police for driving a golf cart while intoxicated.
Murray had been in Stockholm attending the Scandanavian Masters golf tournament. The cart, not intended for use, was on display in front of the hotel. Murray commandeered the vehicle and drove it to the Cafe Opera nightclub, less than a mile from the hotel. He was apprehended on his way back.
Bill refused to take a breath test, in accordance with U.S. law, but did submit to a blood test. He also signed a document stating that he had been under the influence at the time and instructing the officer to plead guilty for him in court, where he will likely face a fine.
The tournament director has stated that he has "no grudge" with Murray for "borrowing" the vehicle.
