Not Burress and Romo!

We have all been waiting for this weekend to get here and if there is one league that we can expect not to disappoint, it’s the NFL. Not only were there several great games that went down to the wire this weekend (G.B/Philly, Den/Buf, Tenn/Jac,) but Im sure there were plenty of intense fantasy football matchups as well.
In two out of three of my leagues I had Addai and Harrison coming off of the Thursday night blowout and I started off well on Sunday with Santonio Holmes, Moss, and the Minnesota defense. However, Sunday Night with Romo and Burress absolutely killed any hopes in The Hazean Blogger league.
Here’s the story with the blogger league and don’t get me wrong I am happy with my production, but I am not happy that it took career best games from Romo and Burress forcing me to “sweat out” Chad Johnson and Shayne Graham on Monday night. I’m not going to go through the entire story, but put it like this…it took a combined 74 points from Romo and Burress and I still maintain a six point advantage ' heading into tomorrow night. Now the big question is…will I win this game? Let’s hope so because The NFL Guru has a solid team that featured an off game by Tomlinson and even though it’s early I need this win.The current score is 142-136 and features the two highest point totals in the league.
It’s a totally different story in my other league put together by FIO Matt. Even though I lost Brandon Jacobs (my preseason horse) this game is in the bag. So far I am winning 109-77 and I still have McGahee and Mark Clayton playing on Monday night.
In the Robin Sports Experts league I should be okay with a 125-66 advantage even though my opponent QBallers has Carson Palmer and the Ravens defense.
Like I mentioned beforehand this was a great weekend for the NFL and fantasy franchises alike. Oh well, if I have to start off with a 2-1 record I won’t like it, but I will not be too unhappy.
