Norm Van Brocklin (Norman Van Brocklin) was born on March 15, 1926 in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. After going to high school at Alcanes (Lafayette, CA), Van Brocklin attended the University of Oregon. Van Brocklin made his professional debut in the NFL in 1949 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles over the course of his 12 year career.
Most people believe that 1960 was Norm Van Brocklin's best year, as he threw for 2471 yards, tossed 24 TDs, put up a 86.5 passer rating and had a 43.1 yard punt average.
