Norb Sacksteder (Norbert N. Sacksteder) was born on September 25, 1895 in Dayton, Ohio. After going to high school at Emanuel (Chillicothe, OH) and University of Dayton Prep (Dayton, OH), Sacksteder attended Christian Brothers University and the University of Dayton. Sacksteder made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Detroit Heralds. He played in the APFA for 2 years, playing for the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Heralds over the course of his 2 year APFA career.Sacksteder also played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Canton Bulldogs the entire time.
