Nino Escalera (Saturnino (Cuadrado) Escalera) was born on December 1, 1929 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He made his Major League debut on April 17, 1954 for the Cincinnati Reds. Escalera played for the Cincinnati Reds for his entire 1 year career.
