Nino Bongiovanni (Anthony Thomas Bongiovanni) was born on December 21, 1911 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He made his Major League debut on April 23, 1938 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1939, his rookie year, he hit .258 with 0 home runs and 16 RBI. Bongiovanni played for the Cincinnati Reds for his entire 2 year career.
