Nig Clarke (Jay Justin Clarke) was born on December 15, 1882 in Amherstburg, Ontario (Canada). He made his Major League debut on April 26, 1905 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1905, his rookie year, he hit .208 with 1 home run and 10 RBI. Clarke played for the Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Naps, St. Louis Browns, Philadelphia Phillies and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 9 year career.
