Nick Buoniconti (Nicholas Anthony Buoniconti) was born on December 15, 1940 in Springfield, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Cathedral (Springfield, MA), Buoniconti attended the University of Notre Dame. Buoniconti made his professional debut in the AFL in 1962 with the Boston Patriots. He played in the AFL for 8 years, playing for the Boston Patriots and Miami Dolphins over the course of his 8 year AFL career.Buoniconti also played in the NFL for 6 years, playing for the Miami Dolphins the entire time.

Most people believe that 1964 was Nick Buoniconti's best year, as he picked off 5 passes.
