Newt Hunter (Frederick Creighton Hunter) was born on January 5, 1880 in Chillicothe, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on April 12, 1911 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1911, his rookie year, he hit .254 with 2 home runs and 24 RBI. Hunter played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 1 year career.
