“There’s no question of who played the hardest, smartest and most competitively,” said Lute Olson, in his 24th season as the Arizona coach.”
Thanks Lute…for nothing…
YET again, another Wildcat team falters in the Pac-10 tourney, stumbles into the NCAA tourney, and of course…drops a few seeds. I mean are you kidding me guys? On the day they roll out their new NIKE unis, not only do they start slow, but they just get demolished.
The seniors were at it again, scoring a measly 8 points between the two of them. On top of that freshman sensation Chase Budinger tallies a whopping ONE rebound!!!! All I can say is good going guys. You really impressed me with this one.
Maybe now all of you Cats fans out there who actually still believe in this team, who still believe in Lute, who still watch every second of every game will start to realize that the dynasty(or what we thought was one) is over. Let’s face it. Sure there have been a TON of winning seasons, but how many Championships to account for all of those wins? Yes that is right, the answer is the same as how many rebounds Budinger had in today’s game: ONE.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I will take the lone Championship over none….but the team has sunk to a new low. And its not because they even lost the game. It is how they lost it. They continue to show no heart, no continuity, no team play, and last but not least…no coaching!
There is no silver lining, not a glimmer. Don’t even try to tell me that the rest is a good thing, or that next year will be the year. I’m over it, I’m done, I’m sick of thinking that Lute and his squad will pull off anything. This is not the year, this is not a repeat of 97, and this is not a team that cares. Thanks a bunch.
