Tom Brady was on Fire tonight, throwing for 4 TD's, and going 29-42 for 372 Yards and one interception. Brad Johnson, on the other hand, was not so hot, going 20-33, 185 yards, and 2 Interceptions.
New England Comes out hot going 6 plays and 94 yards for a touchdown. Vikings Punt Chris Kluwe punts on the Vikings first posession, and the pats took over, only to be intercepted on 3 and 4. The Vikings drove deep into Patriots Territory, only to be intercepted by Rodney Harrison two yards short of the end zone.
|The Patriots marched down the Field again and made it 10-0 early in the Second Quarter with a Stephen Gostowski Field Goal. The ensuing Vikings drive ended with Brad Johnson throwing for his second interception of the game. The Pats punted, only to have the ball punted back to them, leading to a 73 yard touchdown drive. At Halftime the score was Patriots 17, Vikings 0.
The Second half was better for the Vikings, scoring their only touchdown on a Mewelde Moore Punt Return. The crowd was silenced once and for all on the following kickoff, which Laurence Maroney was a break away from a touchdown. Brady then went 3-3 and a Touchdown pass to Troy Brown. The Vikings tried to score again, but were stopped by a ruled incomplete pass to Jermaine Wiggins. With 5 seconds left in the third Quarter, Brady throws for his fourth TD pass of the night, putting the score at 31-7.
The Fourth Quarter was uneventful minus a 44 yard run by Heath Evans of the Patriots. Both Brady and Johnson finnished the night on the bench, with Matt Cassell taking over for brady, and Brooks Bollinger for Johnson.
