Nelson Liriano (Nelson Arturo (Bonilla) Liriano) was born on June 3, 1964 in Puerto Plata, Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic). He made his Major League debut on August 25, 1987 for the Toronto Blue Jays. In 1987, his rookie year, he hit .241 with 2 home runs and 10 RBI. Liriano played for the Toronto Blue Jays, Minnesota Twins, Kansas City Royals, Colorado Rockies, Pittsburgh Pirates and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Nelson Liriano's best season was 1989, when he knocked in 53 runs.
