Born on May 18, 1974 in Brooklyn, New York, Nelson Figueroa (Nelson Figueroa) played for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Philadelphia Phillies, Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 5 year career. Figueroa broke into the bigs on June 3, 2000 with the Arizona Diamondbacks, and put up a 3.94 ERA in 89 innings pitched in 2001, his rookie year.
