Neil Elshire (Neil James Elshire) was born on March 8, 1958 in Salem, Oregon. After going to high school at South (Albany, OR), Elshire attended the University of Oregon. Elshire made his professional debut in the NFL in 1981 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played for the Minnesota Vikings for his entire 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1983 was Neil Elshire's best year, as he recorded 9.5 sacks and recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
