Acquired:

Signed as a free agent with the Ticats on February 16, 2007

2006:

Suited up in 18 games with the Lions, recording eight defensive tackles, one special teams tackle, six quarterback sacks and one fumble recovery.

2005:

Played his first full season for the Lions as a backup defensive lineman. Made the most of his playing time recording 4 sacks and a pair of tackles. Made 3 tackles in the 2005 West Championship game vs Edmonton.

2004:

Joined the Lions late in the season and after 5 games on the injured list saw action in the West Championship and Grey Cup games.

Notable:

Drafted by BC in the 2nd round in the 2004 Canadian College Draft. Joined the team in September 2004 and serves primarily as a backup defensive lineman.

College:

McKay-Loescher finished his career with the Crimson Tide having registered 77 tackles (37 solos), 12.5 sacks, 18 tackles for losses of 123 yards, 44 quarterback pressures, a fumble recovery, a forced fumble, and 5 pass deflections while starting 18 of 49 games. He played for Central Tech High School, the same school once attended by linebackers/special teams coach Mike Benevides.

Personal:

Growing up in the Regent Park area of Toronto, McKay-Loescher admired the talents of Lawrence Taylor. He considers his mother a role model, and advises youth to listen to their parents. Nicknamed 'Chief' and of Ojibway heritage, McKay-Loescher enjoyed reading "The Catcher in the Rye" and lists Forrest Gump as his favorite movie. Nautyn and his wife Nikell have two children, Marcus and Brandon. During the off season, he spends time at his Florida home.
