Nate Rivers (Nathaniel Rivers) was born on August 31, 1955 in Charleston, South Carolina. After going to high school at St. John (Johns Island, SC), Rivers attended South Carolina State University. Rivers made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 1 year career.
