Nate Colbert (Nathan Colbert) was born on April 9, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1966 for the Houston Astros. In 1969, his rookie year, he hit .255 with 24 home runs and 66 RBI. Colbert played for the Houston Astros, San Diego Padres, Montreal Expos, Detroit Tigers and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Nate Colbert's best season was 1972, when he slugged 38 home runs and knocked in 111 runs.
