Nanny Fernandez (Froilan Fernandez) was born on October 25, 1918 in Wilmington, California. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1942 for the Boston Braves. In 1942, his rookie year, he hit .255 with 6 home runs and 55 RBI. Fernandez played for the Boston Braves and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that Nanny Fernandez's best season was 1942, when he knocked in 55 runs.
