Now it's expected. Losing to the Florida Marlins 7-4, it wasn't a surprise. Doing nothing against the Nationals, Phillies, it was going to continue.
It could be over, because the Phillies are cruising. Winning 3 straight, and leading the N.L. East. The Mets are no challenge. They aren't competing, and it's easy for the Phillies.
The team gave up. Now it's too much. Pressure isn't formula, with the Mets.
They're young, with a wise future. This isn't the end, there's ways to go.
Pitching problems was the story, now it haunted them. Their suffering, and might lose the next 3 games.
Are they confident, or ready for next season. That's a question, because it will effect their play. Giving up, isn't an option. Still play, because its still a chance.
It's hard to win. The bullpen ERA is over 6.00, and no believers. Playing down to competition is the image.
Many are disappointed, and changes should be made. This can't happen again, because confidences will fall. The Mets have to much talent for these issues. The wrong mind set is the vibe.
Throw away the bullpen, and buy another one. Too much money for no productiveness. That's the bullpen story. They are talented, but over worked. Too much play, and no rest. It kills this team.
Controlling the game, and giving up leads. That's the bullpen's problem. Add more, and take away the "free loaders".
It's the line-up, their the carriers. All the good players, the reason for success. David Wright's MVP season, and others who produce. They keep the Mets in control. Without them, the Mets would have giving up.
The Marlins stayed in front. This happen the whole game. The Mets couldn't play catch-up.
First inning, Jeremy Hermida homered and Dan Uggla scored. The Marlins scored, 2-0.
Bottom of the second. Oliver Perez singled, and Carlos Delgado scored off an error. The score was 2-1.
Cody Ross got hit by a pitch, and Hanley Ramirez scored. Mike Jacobs got hit by a pitch, and Uggla scored. Top of the third, 4-1.
Same inning, Carlos Beltran homered and Luis Castillo scored. The score was, 4-3.
Top of the fourth, Miguel Cabrera homered. Uggla and Ramirez scored. 6-3 score.
Matt Treanor homered, in the fifth. The score was 7-3.
Bottom of the fifth, David Wright grounded out. Castillo scored. The Mets lost, 7-4.
The Phillies won against the Nationals, 6-0. They want the playoffs, the Mets can't figure it out.
Competing against the Phillies, it's possible. The Mets never succeed at it. It's in the Mets hands, they need to hold it.
