NL Not Good Enough for Home-Field Rule

In the last ten years, the National League's record in the All-Star Game is 0-9-1. This of course means that since the World Series Home Field Advantage Rule (HFR from here out) has been put into place, the National League hasn't claimed it. While there are many arguments against the HFR, this is one of the biggest.
There was a lot of talk after Interleague play this year that power swings from the AL to the NL and the AL is still on it's upswing. Because of these power shifts, the HFR will never work. The AL will have HFA for five years and then the NL will. How does that make sense?
Bud Selig needs to realize that the fans, players, owners, the majority of everyone doesn't like this rule. It hasn't added to the excitement of the All-Star game and it keeps giving the same league HFA in the World Series. That takes away from the integrity of the game.
Just because a league has the best All-Star team (after all the drop outs, injuries, poor fan voting) doesn't mean their league champion is the best.
World Series HFA should be decided by the best regular season record like the rest of the series. Make the whole season a little more exciting instead of just one game.
