I couldn't have been any more wrong about the Browns. Did ANYONE see that coming? Not only winning but putting up 51 points vs a divisional rival and the usually feisty Defense of the Bengals? Funny thing is how much of a genius I thought I was by picking up the Bengals D in my fantasy league, wrong move. Cheers Derek Anderson, here's to hoping your career doesn't follow in the footsteps of Kelly Holcomb.
Brady to Moss all season long, its bordering on cheating just to have them on the same team together.
I'll tell you another detail I didn't see coming, Mewelde Moore taking all of Chester Taylor's touches for Minnesota. I had Adrian Peterson pegged for a monster day yet here comes Moore, an undervalued guy who somehow fell off the face of the Earth in Minnesota last year after such solid production his first few years in the league, garnering nearly 90 total yards of total offense. I'll be unhappy if Moore doesn't receive his fair shot at feature back in this league one day. Remember how Tiki Barber started his career? This kid is almost identical in size, makes people miss and is a great receiver out of the backfield. He is still only 25 years old and hes a hard worker that always produces.
That was a HUGE monkey-off-their-back victory for the Cardinals vs 'Hawks. Ken Whisenhunt's first victory as a head coach, a home opener win vs. the Divisional champ for the past 3 years, and continued solid play from both their Defensive and Offensive lines. Football games are won in the trenches, and they finally have reasons to feel confident that they have a chance to perform consistently well there. They were dangerously close to succumbing to their typical find-a-way-to-lose loseritis, but this time the ball bounced their way and they made just enough clutch plays to pull it out. Next up they head to Baltimore but the good news is this may be the most beatable Ravens team in a few years.
When you have Vince Young, your team is always in the game, and is always in the hunt for the playoffs.
Frank Gore keeps proving he is one of the elite RBs in football, and the 49ers are for real.
I still have a solid shot at gloating about predicting the success of the Texans and the Packers all season. Matt Schaub and the Packers' D are even better than I thought they would be.
Speaking of which how about Mike Tomlin? The Steelers have not missed a beat under his rookie guidance and are the team to beat in the AFC North.
The Cowboys are looking like the team to beat in the NFC East.
Can the Saints recover from such a surprisingly bad start?
