Miami vs. NYJ: After the Jets are now caught “cheating” they get to play slam & jam! Miami is starting to click, but at a snails pace. Expect the Jets to win at home, but no blow out. Start Trent Green if you have to, just for the yards. Expect the Jets to run the ball A LOT!
SD vs. GB: Folks, this IS the game of the week here! Everyone will be eyeballing this one from all points of view. This could be a fantasy players dream or nightmare! LT hasn’t shown squat in the past two weeks that we have been expecting (blame Norv for that) and the only bright spot of offense (thank god) is coming from Gates. Now, GB seems to be resurrected and Favre and Co. seriously have something going. Jennings is stuck on the injury list but no fear, Jones has been a nice replacement. Favre is finding him to be a great target and compliments Driver. The running game is still being tweeked but we’ll see what happens here - should be a VERY GOOD game! I cant predict a winner - sorry.
SF vs. Pitt: 49ers are 2-0. Pitt is 2-0. Somethings gotta give and I feel the STEEL is going to hold. The 49ers get a reality check here and the Steelers win by 9. Darrell Jackson still hasn’t been able to “break out” because Alex Smith hasn’t. Gore is showing he is average and Vernon Davis is a no show so far. Not looking too good for them. Meanwhile, Big Ben and Co. and rolling like a freight train and the new head coach doesn’t want to apply the brakes just yet.
Bills vs. NE : Simple - Brady 400yards? Moss 200yards? 9 TD’s for the Pats total?
The Bills have no head coach, no QB and a star RB who can’t get fantasy points because the rest of the offense stinks. Go figure. NE by 32-if they show no mercy!
Minn vs. KC : FINALLY Larry Johnson can put up some fantasy points! Whats better is that so will Tony G!!! Don’t count out AP either for the Vikings, this could be the Bengals/Browns game of last week. (except only the RB’s scoring the TD’s) Either team can win this one folks.
Lions vs. Philly: OK, Philly blew the Monday night game. But lose on Monday - win on Sunday. I know this is usually Myth but - The Lions let the Vikings hang around last week and McNabb is 150% better than Jackson. The Lions go back to their reality check this week too.
Rams vs. TB: The Rams 0-2. This is sick for fantasy players. The Rams cant put anything together and are starting to look like the St. Louis Cardnals. Yeah, I said it. TB showed last week that they aren’t messing around and can put up the points too….this game is also a coin flip. (Start Galloway again folks!)
Arizona vs. Ravens: Hmmmm. Which Cards team shows up? The one who blew chunks vs. 49ers or the stiff defensive team that knocked of Seattle last week? If the later, this should also be a good game, if not - Ravens by 10.
Indy vs. Houston: This game is going to be the ultimate test for Matt, Ahman and the rest of the coaching staff. Without AJ, this could be a costly game. Andre Davis (recently of the Browns) has been signed by the team but has been inactive for the first 2 weeks. He can be effective but is he up to game speed? And will the rest of the WR core step up?
They will have to. As to the INDY regime - well u know who to start, all of em. This could also be a close game folks. Personally don’t want to pick a winner here - would like to see what Schaub does.
Jags vs. Denver: Denver is a major bomb! Almost losing to the Raiders last week is sick.
If they let that happened with MJD this week, Denver is going to find themselves spanked at home by 7.
Browns vs. Oakland: OK, history has shown that when the Browns visit the Raiders, the Browns always find a way to win. Not pretty- but still win. I don’t see a repeat performance from last week, but the numbers will be good.
Cinn vs. Seattle: Ok, what will Chad do this week? You cant ask for more that what Palmer & Co. did last week, the Browns just got more points. Cinncy steals this one.
Carolina vs. Atlanta: I’d give Atlanta a fighting chance but Leftwich isn’t signed yet. So Carolina in a romp at the dome. Then next week Leftwich starts!
NYG vs. Washington: The Redskins are surprising people…..and I am paying attention. The defense should keep Eli on his back and that running game to a minimum. Both Off & Def the Redskins get their home opener with points!!!
Dallas vs. Chicago -Romo isn’t putting on the brakes. But neither is Hester! This will be a repeat of week 1’s high scoring Sunday night football. Dallas wins another one.
Tenn vs. NO: Ok, I’m just as sickened as you are by the lack of heart and offense by the Saints. Fantasy owners I hear are firing Brees and benching Bush! If the Saints don’t have their act together for this Monday nighter - the Titans will walk all over them! Especially since they came close to beating out the Colts last week - don’t expect them to let up one bit.
