NFL Uniforms First Through Worst

Im a very picky uniform critic. i believe its important for the nfl as league to not let its uniforms get too tweaked and modernized beyond recognition..however i think modernization in moderation is important in some cases. gaudy logos and excess trim have hurt many teams in recent years. logos should represent something. this list would have been very different just five years ago...heres my best and worst based soley on what it is now.
1.(bears)- great colors, tough,intimidting,classic logo...nice socks, like the slim numbers
2.(cowboys)- iconic...i like the blue jerseys better, hate the throwbacks
3.(steelers)- uniform is the attitude of the whole team, great logo on one side
4.(raiders)- plain, maybe out of date, but classics should never change, toughest looking in the whole nfl
5.(patriots)- tastefully modern, good logo represents team well, its becoming iconic with each win.
6.(chargers)- wouldve been no.1 before the change took place, best of all time, light blues are overrated the darks are much tougher...hate the new lightning bolt on the pants.
7.(texans)- logo stands for something, great color combo. along with the pats they are modern yet tasteful
8.(giants)- lower case "ny" much better than GIANTS logo, hate the red jerseys. they are pretty dull but very solid.
9.(jets)- i miss the old logo from the 80s but a great improvment otherwise, like the giants its solid
10.(colts)- plain but it would be a crime to change it. the all whites are better, horseshoe is great
11.(eagles)- i like teams that dont have actual helmet logos, they should wear the silver and green from the 80s as a throwback.
12.(dolphins)- could be above some of the teams already listed but its been tweaked to hell..go back to the 80s numbers and trim. awesome logo
13.(packers)- i like the white jerseys better, but overall pretty good all around, theres nothing i dislike about them
14.(49ers)- i hate gold anything pretty much but its been made into a classic..go back to the 80s superbowl numbers and trim
15.(bucs)- pewter is better than gold. id be a big fan of going back to the orange if they would keep the awesome new logo. i understand why they changed but i think you should stick with your colors...wear them for throwbacks at least
16.(bengals)- caught my attention as a 2 year old..i like the new modernizations just not the white down the sides of the jersey...still have a stong element of white trash.
17.(falcons)- best color scheme of all, killed it with all that ugly trim on the sleeves and pants
18.(rams)- could be in the top 5 but they have destroyed a once great uni, whether it was blue and white or blue and yellow it was great
19.(vikings)- modernization gone wrong. should go back to the classic and get the grey facemasks back
20.(broncos)- they opened up pandoras box when they changed, but if they toned the pointy stripeyness down it could be top ten great colors much improved logo
21.(chiefs)- good logo represents name and city..white with red pants much nicer...numbers are just too big and boxy
22.(browns)- i kinda like the jersey, the helmet hurts though, they take a lot of crap for no logo but the keep it real
23.(cardinals)- i used to love their unis..top 5 no doubt, but again its been destroyed..the red shoulders on the white is terrible
24.(panthers)- good colors save them from being totally bad..horrible horrible logo, dont like the helmet stripes...id like to see an all black keeping with the blue stripe on the pants...overall my team looks white trashy
25.(ravens)- could be very high on the list if the cartoonish helmet logo was replaced by the awesome shield sleeve logo, numbers suck too
26.(saints)- ugh...bronze..good city representing logo..black pants with no stripes just look homosexual, boxy ugly numbers
27.(lions)- logo is ridiculously generic change it to some kind of "D" like the tigers....a small amount of black trim around the numbers does NOT!!! constitute an alternate black jersey ,same goes for the eagles
28.(redskins)- throwbacks with the spear logo would be a 100 percent improvement..ugly ugly logo is what really hurts them
29.(jaguars)- really not extremely ugly except for the god awful whole jaguar logo on the sleeve... take one from the bengals book and ditch the big cat on sleeve look.. again black pants+no stripe=leotard
30.(titans)- we've now approached the arena league section of the list..just ditch the over the shoulder whatever the hell it is and it wouldnt be too bad..pick a color combo and stick with it too much variation looses your identity.
31.(seahawks)- THE SLEEVE...WHY??? THE LOGO ON THE SLEEVE?...ITS THE SAME SIZE AS THE REEBOK LOGO!!!! too much of one ugly color...go back to the drawing board or go back to the old ones!!!! PLEASE.... FOR THE VALIDITY OF THE NFL!!...
32.(bills)- what the hell is that on your shoulders? just stop it, who couldve thought that looked good.. go with the throwbacks keep the streaking buffalo logo
Since this post, the Browns have added numbers on the helmets to match the game jerseys.
