It's never too early to look at next season, just ask the Dolphins (ba-dum-cha). Here are some games that look to be huge non-divisional matchups come election year:
Pats @ Colts - Peyton Manning gets another shot at Brady and the Pats
49ers @ Dolphins - The Toilet Bowl as it will be called. Could the Dolphins still be winless (depending on when they schedule it)
Colts @ Packers - Brett Favre vs. Peyton Manning at Lambeau. The last time these teams met in reg. season play, it was 45-31 as the final score.
Giants @ Browns - A punishing defense against a prolific offense makes for a good match.
Patriots @ Seahawks. Tom Brady can handle crowd noise right? This will be the first time New England has ever gone to Qwest Field, and Seattle has lost just 4 home games in the last 3 years.
Colts @ Steelers - Peyton Manning vs. Ben Roethlisberger, Addai vs. Parker, a classic matchup between two of the AFC's best.
Eagles @ Seahawks - Could the Kevin Kolb era be underway by '08?
Seahawks @ Cowboys - Tony Romo and the Cowboys get to face Seattle at Texas Stadium for the first time in 4 years, when Emmitt Smith moved up to 1st on the NFL's all time career rushing list.
Dolphins @ Rams - The Toilet Bowl 2.
Cowboys @ Packers - This time it's at Lambeau, and Tony Romo hasn't played in potentially bad weather well.....ever.
Chargers @ Buccaneers - Jon Gruden's defense has improved from last year, could it stay the same against LaDanian Tomlinson and the Chargers?
Packers @ Seahawks - It was snowing last time these two teams met at Qwest Field. Matt Hasselbeck must be permanently banned from the coin toss.
Texans @ Packers - Ahman Green makes a triumphant return to Green Bay, where he may proceed to fumble 50 times.
Patriots @ Chargers - Hey, it could be good.
Bears @ Colts - A rematch of Super Bowl XLI.
Cardinals @ Cowboys - Is 2008 the year Arizona wins the NFC West? A game against the Cowboys should be interesting.
Cowboys @ Browns - Tony Romo heads to Cleveland for the first time.
Goodness, I can't wait for 2008 to start already. What do you think? What would happen if those games were played this season?
