The Bucs finished the 2006 season in the cellar of the NFC South, going 4-12.

They drafted DE Gaines Adams in the 2007 draft. The Bucs start the season on the road, as they travel to the Northwest and face the defending NFC West champion, Seahawks. The Bucs will also face the Rams and the Jaguars at home, and the 49ers and Colts on the road.
