The NFL Minute is hosting a panel of experts where we pick the outcome of NFL games and even though this is a friendly competition each participant is competitive in nature and the pride of being crowned champion is enough to make this entertaining.
The Fantasy Football Goat led the way with an incredible 12-4 record as he made excellent choices with Washington over Miami and Carolina on the road in St. Louis. The “Goat” even showcased his talent and abilities by selecting Houston in a road win over the Chiefs.
Robin Sports “Dank” and myself are tied for 2nd place with an 11-5 record while we almost shared identical selections. We both called the Lions over Raiders, but the differences were in Philly/G.B. where he chose Philly and the Mia/Wash game where he chose the Redskins.
Another Robin Sports participant Stapleton, finished with a 10-5 record. I have no clue how he chose the Texans over the Chiefs at home, but he did and things worked out. Excellent pick!
The NFL Minute, well not much of a showing this weekend as he struggled with a couple of risky selections. Finishing 8-8 is just enough to put him in 5th place, but visit The NFL Minute and see why he is a force to be reckoned with. His football savvy and intense knowledge of the game can have him on top before the end of Monday nights game.
On another note…even though I had a heartbreaking loss to The NFL Guru I still had a relatively decent weekend. I finished 2-1 in my 12-team fantasy leagues with final scores of (w) 125-102 (L) 142-159 (heartbreaker to the NFL Guru) and finally a 119-87 win to finish things off.
Things are looking good so far. I picked up Drew Carter via free-agency and I’m making a run at Brandon Jacobs’ backup Derrick Ward. Not sure that Ward is worth it now that Manning is out for the next four weeks, but added depth at the runningback position is never a bad idea.
