NCAA Division III Football National Champions
Each year, the NCAA Division III Football National Champion is decided in a playoff, culminating with the annual Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, named for legendary football coach and innovator Amos Alonzo Stagg.
From 1969-1972, NCAA Division III Football played two regional championship games rather than a national final. The Stagg Bowl was for the West title, and the Knute Rockne Bowl was for the East title.
