NBA to Cuban: That'll Be a Quarter Mil, Please

As an official Mark Cuban fan (see my user page -- thanks Madproof9 for making the fan tag!), I say:

BOO.

Stern has gotten out of control with the way he is handling the NBA. He once was one of the best league owners in all the major sports, but in recent years he has lost complete control of his league while trying to bump slumping sales in the post Jordan era. Now in the wake of the brawl in Detroit it seems that Stern is squashing anything that may challange his power. Cuban only said what everyone is the world has been thinking. In fact his blog from earlier in the playoffs was actually full of good ideas that would help the league rather than hurt it.

Like I said before, this is why I would love to see the Mavs win. Stern handing the trophy to Cuban. Could be one of the most awkward moments EVER!

Cuban should refuse to pay the fine. Make the league sue him for it. It's a lot of money, and with the off-season coming, he'll have plenty of time to represent himself pro se if they do bring an action against him.
