NBA Referee Scandal Exhibit A: Suns vs. Spurs

Like I said on Friday, this could be the worse scandal on pro sports history in America. And it may blow up pro sports in the US. The fact that the media is reporting that other refs and players may be involved, this is likely going to get a lot worse....

Thanks for putting this up here. This truly makes me sick to my stomach. If you ever read any of my posts on the NBA (not many) but the game has gotten so disgusting that it's embarrassing. I wouldn't be surprised if Stern had something to do with this.

The Mike Vick scandal can't shake a stick at this right now. Hockey just became the third most popular sport in the United States.

I don't know if it is bad as the Black Sox scandal, but this has the potential to get up there. The integrity of the official is a fundamental basis upon which the sport rests. Unless Kevin Durant ends up as the basketball equivalent of Babe Ruth, the NBA could be in serious trouble.

Let the speculation begin!

This enrages me. Unbelievable and unexcusable. I'll definitely be rooting for the Suns next year.

On the bright side...at least there's something interesting from now until training camp...

Hey look, another reason I still won't watch the NBA!

I propose that every player and coach be paid back (with interest) every fine levied against them for speaking out about the refs. This is proof that referees are not the unbiased judges of the sport.

this is worse than the black sox scandal, these were league official conspiring, the NBA cannot wash its hands of allegations that it manipulated the out come of a CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, which means they crowned the wrong champion that year, and is it so hard to believe that the NBA would have rather had a marquee team like LA win, rather than the never beens in Sacramento. Poor Chris Webber, that was supposed to be his year to finally win a championship, and he was robbed.
