3. The Red Sox (Tris Speaker and Cy Young) and Indians (Speaker and Nap Lajoie) both did it in 1937. If you count managers, the Giants also did it that year, with John McGraw and Christy Mathewson (inducted the year earlier). Also, if you want to get technical, the A's did it that year (Connie Mack, and Speaker played with them for one year), and the Indians had three that year (Cy Young pitched two years for Cleveland).

I answered this one above...I'm guessing what you're looking for is the Giants (Mathewson and McGraw), but a couple other teams had two players inducted in '37.

Your question for #6 seems to be flawed...Billy Hamilton, a 19th-century OF, holds the record for runs in a season (192). The modern record is held by Babe Ruth (171 in 1926). The highest any 20th-century SS is on the list is Woody English, with 152 runs in 1930, tied for 29th all-time (and, somewhat interestingly, tied with Jeff Bagwell, who has the highest total since WWII).

If memory serves, you would be looking for Pee Wee Reese, who played for the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1940-1958. However, Reese did NOT score 142 runs in any season, he led the NL in runs scored with 132 in 1949 as his top output.
