My favourites all involve "General Ignorance" in some way... i.e. Where is Indianapolis Motor Speedway? Well, it ain't in Indianapolis...

Welcome back!

BTW, I'm not ignoring your questions, I just don't have the faintest idea as to the answers. :P

The starting outfielders for the Yankees in 1919 were Bing Bodie, Duffy Lewis and Sammy Vick, none of whom are Hall of Famers.

That should show you that you have to be a little creative. I assure you that there was a hall of famer on that team who played right field prior to Babe Ruth taking over the position.

You are right. He would have played at the Polo grounds. In any event, he played RF for the Yankees immediately prior to Babe Ruth and is now a Hall of Famer.

A is incredibly answerable. I am going to at least wait for a guess. On B, there is some word play. You can go to baseball almanac, look up the Yankees, look at the list of outfielders and see if any of them are in any Hall of Fame.

I only see one, but there may be someone super-recent that I'm missing.

The first one is pretty easy, I got it w/o looking it up. The second one is very obscure (we're talking about a guy who only played a half-season each with the Mets and the Yankees).

There's actually three answers to #1, and if you think "Brooklyn" you went too far.

Okay KD, since MJD posted the answers, who's the third? I thought Straw and Jose Vizcaino were the only guys to play for all four. I know Stengel wore the uniform of all four (and while they were all still in NY), but not always as a player.

Here's my guess Metsjets. You probably don't mean the "Baseball Hall of Fame".
