Murrell Hogue (Murrell E. Hogue) was born on August 13, 1904 in Amarillo, Texas. After going to high school at Powell Training (Shreveport, LA), Hogue attended Centenary College of Louisiana. Hogue made his professional debut in the NFL in 1928 with the New York Yankees. He played for the Minneapolis Red Jackets, Chicago Cardinals and New York Yankees over the course of his 3 year career.
