Born on September 19, 1926 in Dallas, Texas, Murray Wall (Murray Wesley Wall) played for the Boston Braves, Boston Red Sox and Washington Senators over the course of his 4 year career. Wall broke into the bigs on July 4, 1950 with the Boston Braves, and put up a 3.62 ERA in 114.1 innings pitched in 1958, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Murray Wall's best season was 1958, when he posted a 3.62 ERA, notched 10 saves and struck out 53 batters.

  • Traded by Milwaukee Braves to New York Giants (December, 1955) completing trade in which New York Giants traded Red Murff to Milwaukee Braves in exchange for a player to be named later (@September, 1955).
  • Sold by New York Giants to Boston Red Sox (August 1, 1957).
