Moss to Stay With Pats for 3 Years, $27 million

Despite rumors over the weekend that he might reunite with Daunte Culpepper, Randy Moss is apparently going to remain a member of the New England Patriots for the foreseeable future. According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Moss and the Pats are finalizing terms on a three-year, $27 million deal that would bring the NFL's single-season record-holder for TD receptions back to Foxborough through the 2010 season.

Patriots QB Tom Brady -- coming off his own record-setting season, thanks in no small part to Moss -- repeatedly lobbied for Moss' return, but when free agency opened on Friday, it looked like Moss might slip away from New England's grasp much like Eli Manning did in Super Bowl XLII. By Monday night, though, the ship had been righted; although Asante Samuel, Randall Gay, Rosevelt Colvin, Eugene Wilson, and Donte Stallworth will be donning different uniforms next fall, Randy Moss, the crown jewel of the free agent market, will stay in red, white, and blue for next season and beyond.

Not much to defend against, SSR. As a Seattle fan, you probably shouldn't use the word "ringless" very much. In fact, you should petition to have it completely removed from the language. And JuT, you're friend is a facking dweeb if he can't handle a team he isn't on losing in a game he didn't play in. I was pissed after we lost, got my rage out in a 5 minute tirade of the C word, then got on with life.
