Mort Kaer (Morton Armour Kaer) was born on September 7, 1902 in Omaha, Nebraska. After going to high school at Red Bluff (CA), Kaer attended the University of Southern California. Kaer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1931 with the Frankford Yellow Jackets. He played for the Frankford Yellow Jackets for his entire 1 year career.
