Yeah, I replied at the league site just a second ago. Basically, I said I was fine with changing it to whenever, but we should ask Alex if it's okay, since he's operating under special time-zone circumstances.

It's fine - it's 8PM my time, and I have access to the computer for 2 hours. So just get a move on!

No problem, I just posted a reply on the league site, but I'll ramble on about some stuff over here, too. Unlike roto, where you want to balance your team in certain categories, points leagues assign point values to each offensive event, and tally how many points your team accumulates over the course of the season. Trying to be as realistic as possible, I set the point values to reflect real-life run scoring: on average, singles are worth 1/2 of a run, doubles 4/5 of a run, etc. The good part about that is that players who are all-around studs in real life are also studs in the game, so you don't have to play guys that are one-dimensional just to max out your steals, for instance. We're looking for good overall baseball players, not just guys who are good in a certain area. Pitchers lose runs for your team by giving up runs in real life; don't worry, though, there are starting-pitcher lineup requirements, so teams can't cheat the system by playing pitchers who don't pitch many innings (thereby allowing fewer runs). So, basically, the idea is to finish with more runs than your opponents over the entire season.
