Moose Solters (Julius Joseph Solters) was born on March 22, 1906 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on April 17, 1934 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1934, his rookie year, he hit .299 with 7 home runs and 58 RBI. Solters played for the Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Browns, Cleveland Indians and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Moose Solters's best season was 1935, when he slugged 18 home runs, hit for a .319 average and knocked in 112 runs.
