Born on May 21, 1912 in Wagner, Texas, Monty Stratton (Monty Franklin Pierce Stratton) played for the Chicago White Sox for his entire 5 year career. Stratton broke into the bigs on June 2, 1934 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 5.21 ERA in 95 innings pitched in 1936, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Monty Stratton's best season was 1937, when he posted a 2.40 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 69 batters.
