Despite having the best passing night of the season, Anthony Calvillo and the Montreal Alouettes could not defeat the leg of the Calgary Stampeders kicker, Sandro DeAngelis.

In this game, the Als were in a definite dogfight from the start. The Stamps kept up with the best team, in the CFL, this season.

But the true excitement happened on the last four drives of the game.

The Als moved the ball very well with a two-point lead, but had to punt it away. The punt sailed on Damon Duval into the end zone. Scoring a single, instead of forcing the Stamps to play deep from their own territory.

The Stamps drove down the field with under three minutes to play. Henry Burris overthrew his receiver and the team had to settle for a 52-yard field goal from DeAngelis, to tie the score at 24.

The Montreal offense came out, but was stopped due to offensive penalties. But they did manage to chew up the clock. They then had to punt again. Giving the ball to the Stamps with under a minute to go in the game.

Burris led his team past mid-field again to set up DeAngelis with a 53-yard field goal try, with five seconds to go in the game. On the final play, Sandro drilled the ball from the left hash mark, scoring the field goal and dashing the Alouettes perfect season.

Final stat leaders Montreal. Anthony Calvillo was 25 of 36 for 383 yards with 1 touchdown and 0 picks. Robert Edwards had 12 rushes for 76 with 1 touchdown. Thyron Anderson had 5 receptions for 107 yards and 0 touchdowns. Damon Duval was 3/3 on field goals and 2/2 on ectra points.

Final stat leaders Calgary. Henry Burris went 25 of 35 for 210 yards with 2 touchdowns and 0 picks. Joffrey Reynolds had 16 rushes for 58 yards and 0 touchdowns. Nikolas Lewis had 9 receptions for 101 yards and 1 touchdown. Sandro DeAngelis was 4/4 on field goals and 2/2 on extra points.
