Montgomerie to pull out of Deutsche Bank

Colin Montgomerie has pulled out of the £2.5 million Deutsche Bank Open, a prestigious event on the European Tour this week, and is likely to enduce a fine as a result.
He pulled out because he says he would rather practice than play competatively to "hone his skills" after his disappointment of failure at The Open last week.
The organisers of the event are said to be distraught.
