Monte Lee (Monte Vern Lee) was born on July 11, 1938 in Ballinger, Texas. After going to high school at Hale Center (TX), Lee attended the University of Texas. Lee made his professional debut in the NFL in 1961 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Detroit Lions, Baltimore Colts and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1961 was Monte Lee's best year.
