Mo Williams is an Idiot, Throws Bucks Chances Down the Drain vs Charlotte

This is the Second Edtion of the Brew City Bucks Report.

So here's the situation. Down by three points. Seven seconds Left. You have to inbound the ball from your own baseline and a three-point shot is the ONLY chance to send the game to overtime. So what does Mo Williams do? Well if you guessed that he attempted a desperate three-pointer to tie the game, you guessed wrong.

Mo Williams finished the game with four assists and six turnovers, along with one costly mistake to end the game - AP/David Zalubowski.

Instead of trying to tie the game, Williams inexcusably drove to the basket, scoring on a goaltended layup to bring the score from 100-97 to 100-99 with .7 seconds left in the game. Nice one. That sure does a lot of good.

So one of three things must have happened then.

First, Williams could have knowning went for the quick layup and hoped foul Bobcats quickly afterwards, but its kinda of hard to do the whole foul and chase thing with under a second left.

Second, Williams knew the Bucks were down by three and thought that he could get fouled while making the layup to tie the score, something thats not likely to happen considering that Williams hardly makes those types of plays and that your asking for way to much to happen in that play to go your way.

Third, Williams somehow forgot the score and thought that the layup would tie the game, not something that you would want your point guard, that, by the way, you just paid $51.5 million dollars over the summer, to be forgetting. Either way, Mo Williams is an idiot, and should have just attempted a three-pointer.

Anyways, Williams finished with the most shots attempted (18) on the Bucks roster, along with six turnovers and only four assists. Meanwhile, Charlie Bell finished with zero turnovers and led the team in assists with five as the back-up point guard, something that he should not be for long considering that Bell actually tries to get his teammates involved in the game and is much better defensively than the shoot-first, pass second Williams.

I didn't understand why they signed Williams to such a big deal. I've never thought of him as the kind of guy you want leading your team. I like having Villanueva around, but giving up T.J. Ford was a mistake.

Yeah, I would much rather have T.J. Ford as the point guard right now compared to Mo Williams. I think that Miami was only able to offer him like $31 million too, since all they had left was the mid-level exception left, and we gave him $20 million more than the Miami offer.

Oh, and as the beat writer, you should get an interview with Michael Redd and ask him where his jump shot went over the summer. He finally made his first three of the season in tonight's game.

Well what i'd really like to know is why he isnt driving to the basket anymore like he did last season. It seems as if all he's shooting are jump shots. I wonder if playing on team USA made him change since since he was only asked to shoot threes. I'm kind of new to this beat writer stuff though so I don't really know how i'd get an interview with him, but if I could, I would ask him.

Mo Will is the Bucks second best player and he is much better than TJ Ford. He should put some shots up considering that he actually has a jumper.

It was comical to see him dash down the court like they had been down by 1 before they fouled Felton. His eyes got big as he realized no one was gonna contest his dash for a layup, then the morbid look on his face when he noticed that they were actually down by 3... classic.
