Mo Bassett (Maurice LaFrancis Bassett) was born on April 26, 1931 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Lincoln (Chickasha, OK), Bassett attended Langston University. Bassett made his professional debut in the NFL in 1954 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1954 was Mo Bassett's best year, as he ran for 588 yards and ran in 6 TDs.
