Minor League Hockey


About Minor League Hockey

Hockey is much more unregulated than affiliated minor league baseball. The AHL is the direct minor league feeder system to the National Hockey League and is tabbed as the Triple-A level of development (top). The Double-A professional leagues have looser affiliations with American Hockey League teams and NHL teams. Class-A leagues have no affiliations with the NHL or the AHL, but a few teams feed the double-A leagues.
