The Padres are reportedly about to acquire Milton Bradley from the A's for what amounts to a bag of dirt. I suppose it's better than nothing. The interesting point is that the Padres just acquired embattled catcher and known hothead Michael Barrett from the Cubs.
If you recall Milton Bradley before joining the A's was well known for his outbursts. He challenged fans in the stands and called Jeff Kent a racist. Now I do believe Kent is a racist...the mustache, the pickup truck and the country music...redneck or racist? Maybe that's the same thing.
Now the Padres are going to mix the volatile Bradley with the always high-strung, confrontation Barrett. It's not a question of if they will get into but more like when and who will start it off. Padres manager Bud Black will get good at playing ref or mother. This is going to be wild.
