Milt Stock (Milton Joseph Stock) was born on July 11, 1893 in Chicago, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on September 29, 1913 for the New York Giants. In 1914, his rookie year, he hit .263 with 3 home runs and 41 RBI. Stock played for the New York Giants, Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals and Brooklyn Robins over the course of his 14 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Milt Stock's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1921, when he hit for a .307 average and knocked in 84 runs. However, others believe that it was 1920, when he hit for a .319 average and knocked in 76 runs.
