Milt May (Milton Scott May) was born on August 1, 1950 in Gary, Indiana. He made his Major League debut on September 8, 1970 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1972, his rookie year, he hit .281 with 0 home runs and 14 RBI. May played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Houston Astros, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox and San Francisco Giants over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that Milt May's best season was 1974, when he hit for a .289 average and knocked in 54 runs.
