Born on January 27, 1896 in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, Milt Gaston (Nathaniel Milton Gaston) played for the New York Yankees, St. Louis Browns, Washington Senators, Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 11 year career. Gaston broke into the bigs on April 20, 1924 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 4.50 ERA in 86 innings pitched in 1924, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Milt Gaston's best season was 1930, when he posted a 3.92 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 99 batters.
